Server Administration Tip: Clearing Web Server Cache

I should have published this a long time ago. I was looking for it today, but it was in my unpublished posts. Hope it helps.

  1. One thing I’ve notice is the command to delete the Web Server cache (?cmd=purge&pwd=xxxxxx) doesn’t seem to do anything (the others work). It comes back with:

    It’s not a incorrect password because when I mistype the password I’ll get this:

    You are not authorized to use this feature!

  2. Noticed it stripped off one part of my comments(was in XML format, so took off the “” characters).

    ?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″ ?
    ROOT /
